FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT YOUR PROGRAM AND CURRICULUM?

What We Offer at Apogee HoCo

Apogee HoCo serves both private education and homeschool families who want more than traditional schooling. We partner with parents to prepare young people not just for college or careers — but for life.

We develop young leaders and equip families to thrive together.

Our Approach to Education

At Apogee, education is hands-on, discussion-driven, and rooted in real-world application.

We combine:

- Experiential, project-based learning that builds practical life skills

- Socratic guiding to develop critical thinking and confident communication

- Leadership development through responsibility and ownership

- Mixed-age learning communities that mirror real life

- Self-paced progression instead of one-size-fits-all grade levels

- Intentional outdoor time to cultivate resilience, health, and creativity

Our campus is designed as a microcosm of life — a place where young leaders practice decision-making, problem-solving, collaboration, and character development in a safe but challenging environment.

Learning culminates in public exhibitions of mastery, not standardized tests. Students demonstrate what they can build, communicate, and lead — not just what they can memorize.

Program Structure

Our academic year runs from September through June and is organized into seven project-based sessions.

- Each session lasts 4–6 weeks

- Each session is followed by a 1–2 week break

- Breaks allow time for reflection, integration, family travel, and rest

This rhythm supports both high engagement and meaningful family time throughout the year.

Designed for Growth-Oriented Families

We are not in the business of manufacturing standardized results. Apogee is a partnership formed around mutual standards, shared responsibility, and a commitment to growth.

We seek parents who will commit to personal growth and who desire to model leadership, responsibility, and lifelong learning at home. Education is most powerful when the adults are growing, too.

To support full-family development, parents in our community will receive complimentary access to Apogee Strong’s 12-month men’s and women’s programs. These intentional programs connect families across Apogee campuses nationwide and provide coaching for continuous growth, collaboration, and support.

When children see their parents growing, everything changes!

Is Apogee HoCo the Right Fit for Your Family?

Enrollment at Apogee HoCo is about alignment. We are seeking a strong mutual fit — for your family and for our community.

Our trial day process is designed to ensure this is a true win-win for everyone involved.

Step 1: Initial Conversation

After your initial call with our team, you will receive the necessary information and paperwork to move forward with scheduling your child’s trial day.

Step 2: Student Trial Day

Your child will spend a full campus day experiencing:

- Project-based learning

- Goal setting and academic work

- Socratic discussion

- Mixed-age community interaction

- Responsibility & Cleanup

- Our daily structure and rhythm

This allows your child to experience Apogee firsthand — not just hear about it.

Step 3: Final Family Meeting

Following the trial day, we will schedule an in-person meeting with your family.

This meeting allows us to:

- Share observations from the trial day

- Answer any remaining questions

- Address concerns or hesitations

- Confirm mutual alignment before enrollment

Our goal is clarity and confidence for both sides before moving forward.

do you have a program calendar for the year?

Yes — our full projected calendar is available for you to review.

The 2025–2026 campus year begins on the Tuesday after Labor Day and concludes on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

Our year is intentionally structured around seven project-based themes called “Sprints.” Each Sprint lasts 4–6 weeks and is followed by a 1–2 week break.

These built-in breaks serve an important purpose. They allow students to:

- Rest and recharge

- Reflect on what they’ve accomplished

- Spend meaningful time with family

- Return energized and ready for the next challenge

This rhythm supports sustained excellence rather than burnout.

Our goal is to maintain high standards while cultivating genuine excitement about learning. The atmosphere on campus blends focused discipline — similar to a martial arts tradition — with the energy, camaraderie, and adventure of summer camp.

Our young leaders work hard.
They grow stronger.
And they look forward to coming back.

what is the apogee code?

The Apogee Code is a code of ethics that all members of our community commit to live by:

INTEGRITY

"Integrity is the choice between what's convenient and whats right." - Tony Dungy

I will make good on my dealings with others. I will be a self-controlled leader, denying myself any privileges which could potentially derail my credibility. I will not waiver or compromise on what is true and right.

BRAVERY

"A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave for five minutes longer." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

My ideals will not waiver in the face of danger. I will stand up for what is right, and will not compromise, no matter who the enemy, and, especially when the enemy is myself.

COMPASSION

"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion." - Dalai Lama

I will have a countenance of generosity, sympathy, and forgiveness. Compassion serves others, even to the discomfort of self. A change to help others is an opportunity to change the very direction of humanity.

HONESTY

"Befriend the man who is brutally honest, for honesty is the highest form of respect. - Daniel Saint

My word is my bond, and that bond cannot be broken. In an age where contracts and handshakes are marginalized, I am Apogee Strong, committed to my word at all costs.

POLITENESS

"A polite gentleman is indeed one who puts more into this world than he takes out." - George Bernard Shaw

Extending politeness to all and utilizing good manners is a chance to honor those who have come before me, as well as inspire those who come after me. respect is gained by the consistent manner with which I deal with people, so I will deal with them accordingly.

HONOR

"The greatest way to live with honor in this world is to be who we pretend to be." - Socrates

I will have a dignity of worthiness in all of my work, my cause, and my purpose. My transparency in leadership and principled living will be evident in public and in private.

LOYALTY

"Nothing is more noble, nothing more venerable, than loyalty." - Cicero

I am loyal to myself, my cause, my family, my friends and to the betterment of society through the daily living of the Apogee Code. I take personal responsibility for my decisions and actions, as well as their correlating results.

do you offer scholarships?

Yes! At Apogee HoCo, we want to help aligned families join our community and have access to this one-of-a-kind education, regardless of income.

There are currently two main forms of financial support.

1. Apogee Foundation Scholarship Application

Once your financial aid amount is determined, we ask families to apply for the Apogee Foundation Scholarship to help cover the adjusted membership balance. These scholarships are awarded through the Foundation directly and are no automatically renewed from year to year.

2. Apogee Payments

Families are able to raise their own scholarships by having your business or a business you know switch their point of sale for credit card processing over to Apogee Payments. You would then direct the portion of the credit card fee to our campus, Apogee HoCo, building your own scholarship.
